Dean Almodova, Utah CFP (Concealed Firearm Permit) Instructor, has worked in the Security, Gaming and Hospitality industry for 30 years and as part of his employment and career, has trained with various local, state, federal law enforcement agencies, as well as private sector, acquiring the knowledge and training of firearms application. He has been a qualified Weaponless Defense Instructor and Active Shooter Response trainer. He is a Home Defense Training Coach and an NRA Certified Home Defense Instructor and Range Safety Officer. His experience in the Casino and Hospitality Industry included being responsible for creating and training ERT-teams (Emergency Response Team), which were designed to respond to any Critical Threat. Dean’s philosophy was to train a staff on how to carry concealed and maintaining a low profile in a public venue and have the right mind-set should the “what if” occur. Dean has carried concealed for the past 25-years in both private and professional aspects of his life and has possessed permits in Nevada, California, Arizona, Utah (relative reciprocity States).

Due to current concerns within our ever-changing society, he has created an opportunity for individuals to receive valuable information and training in the aspects of Personal Defense, Public Defense and Home Defense on a CCW/CFP platform.

 “As a private citizen, the training is a rollover application consistent with being a responsible individual, living in a social environment that at times may be unpredictable. However, most enjoyable is the one on one, or small classroom and range training with team-members or private persons in helping them understand safe practices consistent with legal applications in assessing or addressing potential threats. I’ve also taught courses on Workplace Violence Prevention, Home Defense, Weaponless Defense training, and Use of Force. I appreciate this opportunity to keep training with the continual intent to improve and evolve in helping others be better prepared in their efforts to protect and defend themselves, their families and others, in an ever-changing society.
